acoR to stand in for GamerLegion at IEM Dallas 2025

The Danish AWPer will help out his old team.

GamerLegion announced this Wednesday, May 14th, that their AWPer Henrich "sl3nd" Hevesi will miss IEM Dallas 2025 because the organization couldn't secure a visa for him.

The Hungarian AWPer will be replaced by Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand, who has been in free agency since April after departing TSM and hasn't played in a HLTV-featured match since December 2024.

acoR is no stranger to GamerLegion, having played for them between 2022 and 2024 and being part of the team that reached the grand finals of the BLAST.tv Paris Major in 2023.

However, the only remaining piece of that lineup is the head coach Ashley "ash" Battye, as all the players moved on from GamerLegion.

GamerLegion's announcement ended the speculation that sl3nd was kicked after a rough run in PGL Astana 2025, as the community spotted acoR practicing with GamerLegion. For now, the addition of acoR seems merely temporary.

IEM Dallas kicks off on May 19th, and it will be the inaugural tournament of the ESL Grand Slam Season VI. GamerLegion will debut versus 3DMAX.
