skullz could make a surprise appearance at IEM Dallas 2025

FaZe enlist skullz as a substitute for IEM Dallas 2025; rain unlikely to attend

skullz would be FaZe's first Brazilian player since coldzera.

FaZe have announced the addition of Felipe "skullz" Medeiros as a substitute for this month's IEM Dallas 2025, with the former Liquid and FURIA player expected to stand in for Håvard "rain" Nygaard at the American LAN. While FaZe themselves did not comment on why rain would potentially miss the tournament, rain confirmed in a follow-up X post that his wife is expecting the birth of their second child, requiring the FaZe veteran to stick close to home.

Should the Nygaard family welcome their second child ahead of IEM Dallas 2025, skullz would step in for his first matches since being benched on FURIA in late April. It would also see the 23-year-old rifler link up with a second international roster in his career, having played for Liquid for seven months in 2024 before being sidelined and sold to FURIA.

FaZe's roster is no doubt set to raise eyebrows at Dallas as it will also mark the debut of Oleksander "s1mple" Kostyliev under Finn "karrigan" Andersen's leadership. With karrigan having a history of making the most out of stand-ins and winning a number of tournaments with them, should FaZe have to use s1mple and skullz at the same time it will no doubt be an interesting test for the Danish legend.

Should rain miss IEM Dallas 2025, FaZe will compete with:

  • Denmark Finn "karrigan" Andersen

  • David "frozen" Čerňanský

  • United States Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski

  • Oleksander "s1mple" Kostyliev (Loan)

  • Brazil Felipe "skullz" Medeiros (Stand-in)

  • Filip "NEO" Kubski (Coach)

IEM Dallas 2025 is set to start on May 19th.
