CS2 pundits react to FaZe s1mple: "It's do or die time [for both]"
FaZe's signing of Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyljev made headlines in the Counter-Strike world, and, as expected, nearly all CS2 pundits are commenting on it.
The opinions on the matter are a mixed bag as s1mple hasn't played competitive CS2 aside from a few matches while on loan to Falcons last year. But, given how much the Ukrainian delivered in CS:GO and his so-called "aura", everybody is excited to see him back in action.
Former Liquid player turned analyst Jacob "Pimp" Winneche was one of the first to weigh in on FaZe +s1mple, and described the move as a "do or die" moment for both parties.
Former FaZe coach and Serbian analyst Janko "YNk" Paunović dubbed the move "all-in."
The popular American analyst Alex "Mauisnake" Ellenberg is happy that FaZe got the "only possible aura upgrade" and is excited about all the possible content that will come out of it.
Not everyone was as excited as Mauisnake, especially Jason "moses" O'Toole. The "Bald Eagle" said that s1mple "isn't doing himself any favors" by subbing in for teams with "massive issues."
s1mple will make his debut for FaZe at the upcoming IEM Dallas on May 19th. Do you think benching Helvijs "broky" Saukants for s1mple was the right move? Let us know in the comments.
