Cloud9 are back

Liquid fall to Cloud9 in IEM Dallas opener

Liquid will have to make it through the lower bracket to keep their hopes alive in Dallas.

Vertigo did not go the way that Nick "nitr0" Cannella and co. would have hoped, falling to the CIS powerhouse of Cloud9 16-6. The organisation that has so much history in North America dashes any hopes of Liquid getting out to a strong start as they send them into the losers bracket to play against Imperial.

Liquid got off to a competitive start, taking the first three rounds on their CT-side, with Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov's side bringing the game back and tying it up at 5-5. Cloud9 put their shaky start behind them rather quickly, however, comfortably closing out the first half with a 10-5 scoreline despite being on the less favorable T-side.

As soon as the second half started it seemed like there was nothing Liquid could do to get back into the game, Josh "oSee" Ohm was the best performer for the NA side but that is little consolation as they were only able to manage one round in the second half.
