MIGHT disband after losing key players
MIGHT have confirmed to Dust2.us that orgless lineup have disbanded following the departure of Jonathan "djay" Dallal last night and Jared "jared" Habib on August 15th. The loss of their IGL and jared left the team reeling without leadership while matters were made event worse as the departure left MIGHT without a core in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS).
This is due to the team's lineup in the August VRS having Croatian stand-in Mateo "Matheos" Prišlin whom the team played one match with at the end of July before Valve updated the rules to require five matches for stand-ins to affect a team's roster.
While the VRS situation definitely sealed the deal, Dust2.us understand that the team were already considering disbanding even without the VRS implications as IGls are notoriously hard to replace in North America, especially as the summer shuffle is already done and dusted.
djay in a way is also the key figure of the MIGHT roster, being the sole remaining member of the original roster from when MIGHT was formed in 2023. djay guided MIGHT through multiple iterations throughout the years with a mix of veteran and rookie talent, unfortunately finding success elusive despite multiple attempts to formulate a winning stack.
At the time of dissolution, MIGHT consisted of:
-
Ryan "Snakes" Amann -
Jérémy "BiNoX" Chiasson -
Sebastian "Seb" Dietrich -
Calvin "becker" Becker (Coach)
