American caster and stage host Mike "DarfMike" Winnick wrote on X that it's "an absolute tragedy to lose Complexity," as well as a "rough indicator of where the wind is blowing in NA." Fellow American caster Garret "Phy" Schier said it was Lake's passion that got him into Counter-Strike as a teenager, calling on other organizations to replicate the same kind of front-facing communication that Lake had used with the Complexity and NA CS communities.
Several of the now departing Complexity players shared fond words as well. Michael "Grim" Wince and Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli both said it was an honor to play for Complexity. Several teams including Liquid, Legacy, and Spirit shared their sadness in the replies to Lake's announcement.
As for the future of the Complexity players, it's expected that Passion UA will announce the signings soon.
