SK considered returning to Counter-Strike with FalleN's Last Dance project

SK has been away from CS since 2018.

Three years ago, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo assembled Last Dance, a project that also featured Fernando "fer" Alvarenga and Lincoln "fnx" Lau, and the team went on to represent Imperial.

But, it turns out that SK— the organization that FalleN, fer, fnx, Marcelo "coldzera" David, and Epitácio "TACO" de Melo won the ESL Cologne Major 2016 —considered signing Last Dance too.

The information was revealed by Ricardo Gonçalves, SK's Operations Manager, in an interview with Paulo "short" Ballardini and Jonas "MAGICJR" Aguilar, and Ricardo explained why SK didn't sign Last Dance in the end.

"We considered, but it was all a matter of structure," Ricardo said.

"Because of our shareholders' system, we distanced ourselves from shooters. And, obviously, this would always cause a conflict. We considered it a lot, based on our hearts, but the reality is that we couldn't do it."

The Brazilians won 12 tournaments under the SK banner, including the aforementioned Cologne Major in 2016, before departing to MIBR in 2018.

Since then, SK never housed a Counter-Strike team again.
