Imagine JT and s1mple playing together

Striker claims BC.Game also wanted to sign the Complexity core

If that happened, s1mple would play with a NA team nearly 10 years after leaving Liquid.

Passion UA is reportedly close to signing Johnny "JT" Theodosiou, Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli, Michael "Grim" Wince, and Nick "nicx" Lee, but they weren't the only organization targeting the Complexity core. According to HLTV's Editor-in-Chief Milan "Striker" Švejda, BC.Game was also interested in the players and the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) points they own.

"I did hear that BC.Game have been looking around for different cores to improve their standing on the VRS and all that stuff, and as far as I understand, they also wanted the Complexity one," Striker said today on the new HLTV Confirmed episode, which featured the two-time Major champion Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt.

"That would have also been weird for the American team to be with s1mple."

That itself comes as no surprise, as the insider and Spirit scout Aleksey "OverDrive" Biryukov previously revealed that BC.Game was looking to sign a new core.

However, it is a bit funny that s1mple could have ended up playing with an NA team again. The Ukrainian played with Liquid before joining Natus Vincere in 2016.

On top of this information, Striker also shed light on why Complexity is selling its core.

"I think a lot of people will be kind of confused about this from a Complexity perspective, but I think a key thing to point out would be their financial situation. And I don't think CS for them has been necessarily profitable ever since they took over the brand back from GameSquare."

"They have some loans to pay off, and searching for sponsors is not so easy for American teams, especially for American orgs. I think that's a big reason behind why they were looking for a buyer, and it seems like they've found one."

Luis "MIRAA" Mira was the one who broke the news last week, and according to Striker, JT and his men could play for Passion UA in their next tournament.

The next event in Complexity's schedule is DraculaN Season 1, which kicks off on August 29th.
