cxzi looks to bounce back with BHOP

BHOP have recruited the services of Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk, with the 21-year-old filling the void left by the departure of Ethan "reck" Serrano to Strife earlier in the week. On this new team, cxzi will be returning to his previous role of primary AWPer after transitioning into being a rifler with Strife.

The addition of cxzi marks his return to a proper lineup following his abrupt removal from Strife back in March, with allegations of the player being intoxicated during an official match being the leading reason for his dismissal. Prior to this, Strife had just returned from their stellar run at Fragadelphia 16 where they secured gold to earn themselves a $24,000 payday alongside starting off with a 2-3 record to kick off their ESL Challenger League Season 40 campaign.

While on the lookout for a new home, cxzi was seen standing-in for Mythic during the second IEM Dallas open qualifier where they were bested by fellow ECL side, UYU. Following this, the 21-year-old also paid a visit down to ESEA Advanced. playing one map with Drunken Masterz where he helped that side to a 16-6 victory over Hyperspace Dark.

BHOP currently sit in second place of Group B in ECL Season 41 with a 1-1 record, notably securing a 2-0 victory and defeat to Mythic and Carpe Diem, respectively.

cxzi's addition is also the endcap to a rather pointless spat between Strife and BHOP over the acquisition of reck. The two sides squabbled on Twitter and in private over what was ultimately a really minor misunderstanding about when reck's buyout need to be paid.
