Official: Legacy complete try signing from Imperial

AWPer Santino "⁠try⁠" Rigal has officially signed for Legacy from Imperial, after try spent the majority of 2026 so far at Passion UA after signing from Imperial. The end of try's spell with Passion UA was marred by controversy, as Imperial reclaimed him from PUA, terminating the sale due to payment issues, according to Dust2 Brasil.

Legacy were only in the market for an AWPer briefly after Guilherme "⁠saadzin⁠" Pacheco signed for Imperial yesterday, with the try signing completing the trade. try himself had a middling stint on Passion UA, where he averaged a 1.09 rating across 69 maps from February to July.

try joins Legacy after a tumultuous tenure on Passion UA, as the international team couldn't find its footing in the first season of the year. After failing to make the Major, Passion have all but gotten rid of their entire roster. try will be reuniting with Eduardo "⁠dumau⁠" Wolkmer and Bruno "⁠latto⁠" Rebelatto, as he played with them on 00NATION. Legacy will hope that try will regain form, as he will be back to speaking Portuguese with his new teammates.

Legacy has had a bit of a renaissance after adding IGL Andrei "arT" Piovezan, finishing 3rd and 1st at IEM Atlanta and CS Asia Championships, respectively. They also battled through Stage 2 at the IEM Cologne Major before falling short of the playoffs in Stage 3, a result they would have been pleased with given their poor form to start the year.
