ESL Challenger League S51 Cup 3 Day 2 recap: F5 win again and FlyQuest RED eliminated
Day two of ESL Challenger League S51 Cup 3 is complete, and the first four teams have been knocked out. Unfortunately, due to more lineup issues and event overlap, half the matches ended in forfeit. The most notable was LAG forfeiting to InControl as they were participating in the qualifier for PGL Astana, which they eventually lost to Fisher College.
BOSS 2-0 FlyQuest RED
This match began on FlyQuest RED's pick of Mirage. Though BOSS got off to a hot 6-0 start, FlyQuest RED did manage four round wins to keep BOSS's lead to 8-4. After BOSS took the pistol and conversion, they comfortably closed the map 13-5.
BOSS picked Ancient, and it was even less competitive. BOSS started with a monstrous eleven-round run before finally giving up one loss at the end of the first half. FlyQuest RED took the pistol and conversion, but BOSS quickly closed it out 13-3.

The series began on F5's pick of Overpass, but Outfit 49 started with a great run to put F5 down 0-6. F5 fought back to close the gap, entering the second half down 5-7. Outfit 49 had another fast start to the half, but F5 had a strong response and took the game to overtime. F5 held control throughout, only dropping one round on the way to a 16-13 victory.
Outfit 49 picked Nuke, but F5 rode a pistol win to a 6-0 start. Outfit 49 got some rounds back, but F5 still led 9-3. After taking the pistol, F5 quickly ended the map with a 13-4 win.
