Fisher College top PGL Astana NA Closed Qualifier, become first collegiate team to qualify for S-tier event

With a 3-2 reverse sweep over LAG, Fisher College have won the PGL Astana North America Closed Qualifier and become the first collegiate team ever to attend a Tier-1 event.

The team has been on a historic streak as of late, recently becoming the second collegiate team to qualify for ESL Challenger League and the first team to compete in both the EU and NA Challenger leagues.

After a 40+ minute delay in the Astana qualifier’s Grand Final, the FRAG York runner-ups were able to overcome a 0-2 deficit and upset the arguable favorites, thus adding to their record-breaking season.
