Chicken Coop plans to re-enter CS2 after "structured rebuild phase"

Chicken Coop back already?

North American organization Chicken Coop announced, during the grand final of the StarLadder Budapest Major this past Sunday, that they plan to return to "active Counter-Strike 2 competition in 2026."

Currently, the organization is in a self-described "structured rebuild phase," and is expanding their operational team and making "organizational improvements across all areas of the team." Chicken Coop says a "formal roster announcement is planned for the end of Q1 2026."

The organization says that the restructuring occurs after the "strategic decision to pause active competition," which occurred this past October after controversy doomed the previous roster.

Chicken Coop released their previous roster after former member Caleb "jchancE" Davis allegedly engaged in physically and verbally inappropriate behavior towards women at a bar Knoxville, Tennessee during the Fragadelphia Fragville weekend. Other members of the team allegedly attempted to pressure a witness of the incident not to speak out about it.

Chicken Coop dropped the roster afterwards, saying that the actions of the player did not "align with our organization's values and standards," before temporarily ceasing operations a month later.
