Breaking: M80 sign JBa
M80 have just announced the signing of Josh "JBa" Barutt from Wildcard. JBa had been a standout player for Wildcard since joining the NA side in November of 2023.
JBa has left Wildcard after the organization underwent a tumultuous year, both on and off the server. Wildcard were one of the top teams in NA at the end of 2024, and looked like they would continue that form into the new year. The results didn't follow, though, leading to instability and various changes over the course of the year.
JBa is joining an M80 side that impressed at the StarLadder Budapest Major, qualifying for Stage 2 and falling just one best-of-three win short of Stage 3.
JBa will be replacing M80's newest member, Jadan "HexT" Postma, who had played well for the NA org since his arrival. M80 had experienced some of their best results with HexT, including a playoff run at BLAST Open London. There could be some pressure on the org and JBa in particular to live up to the promise that HexT brought to the team.
JBa will make his debut for M80 at Fragadelphia Miami, starting on January 2nd.
Here is M80's updated roster with the addition of JBa:
-
Michael "Swisher" Schmid -
Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich -
Elias "s1n" Stein -
Mason "Lake" Sanderson -
Josh "JBa" Barutt
