SPUNJ: "I heard that Jimpphat is out [of MOUZ] to go somewhere else"
With the StarLadder Budapest Major wrapping up this weekend, the rumor mill has started to spin up again as teams are beginning their off-season roster changes. One of the first big rumors from this off-season came yesterday with HLTV Confirmed panelist Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill saying that he has heard Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo is out at MOUZ and headed to a new home for the 2026 season.
According to SPUNJ, Jimpphat is out of the team by choice and could have a couple targets for a new home based on the results from the Major.
While SPUNJ did not name any of these prospective teams, the mind immediately goes to Falcons as the Saudi "superteam" fell fall short of expectations at the Major and have continued to spend big money in hopes of taking over the Counter-Strike world. The Finn was also linked to a move to Falcons last year by French insider Sébastien "KRL" Perez.
HLTV Confirmed later said that the move fell through due to Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov not joining Falcons until after PGL Bucharest 2025, however with the Russian superstar now on Falcons perhaps the move is back on.
Only time will tell, but with Falcons' mantra seemingly being "one more superstar" this could be the first big move of what is expected to be a busy off-season.
