kassad: "If Liquid has any intention to once again have a successful CS team, they will remove ultimate and EliGE"
Much has been said about Liquid's disastrous run at the StarLadder Budapest Major, which saw the team narrowly survive Stage Two after a 0-2 start before being eliminated from Stage Three with a dismal 0-3 record. However, pundit, analyst, and coach Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović posted his own "hot takes" on X today about the team, saying Liquid needs to cut Roland "utlimate" Tomkowiak and Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski if they want any chance of being "respectable, successful CS team" again.
ultimate has been a particular target of criticism as the rookie AWPer has struggled to deliver consistent tier-one performances during his time with Liquid. While the Pole has had a handful of strong events, he has also had his fair share of disasterclases, in particular his dismal 0.85 rating over four maps during Stage Three of the Budapest Major.
kassad's insistence that EliGE, on the other hand, be cut from the squad is the far hotter take as he only recently returned to Liquid and has largely been in form during his first four events with the team. Perhaps he feels that EliGE is not a good fit under Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek especially as a replacement for Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken.
kassad also had some choice words about Liquid's handling of Guy "NertZ" Iluz, saying that the team have wasted his promising talent due to "bad coaching, ego selfish toxic teammates and no structure."
What do you think about kassad's diagnosis about Liquid? Is he on the right track after another disappointing season from the organization?
