Mauisnake is working as an analyst at the Budapest Major

Mauisnake says Pick'Em should have a "running total" for all three Stages with "15 as the total goal"

It's nearly impossible to get the Diamond Coin with the current format.

The StarLadder Budapest Major is rapidly approaching the playoffs, and after so many upsets and the randomness of best-of-ones across all three Swiss groups, most Pick'Ems have been ruined already.

The extra group stage made it harder for fans to get the Diamond Coin, which has been prompting a lot of complaints across social media. But, one of our NA pundits, Alex "Mauisnake" Ellenberg, has come up with a clever solution for Valve to make things just a little bit more doable.

"I feel like it should calculate it as a running total for all three Stages, where 15 is still the total goal," Mauisnake wrote on a Reddit thread about the current state of the Pick'Em Challenge.

"Because it's so difficult to pass with five consistently, the 'extra credit' you earn by picking correctly in any stage (i.e when you get six+ correct) should aid you in completing other stages. Still, the exact same objective in total, to get 15 correct picks, but there would be more of a buffer you can build for yourself. Playoffs would function the same."

While we don't have the stats for the StarLadder Budapest Major Pick'Em, only 0.01% of the players secured the Austin Major Diamond Coin. And, by all looks of it, it will not get any better in Budapest Major.
