JW recreates 7licious' super viral "sandwich maker" post to try and get BLAST's attention
Yesterday, Swedish organization EYEBALLERS revealed the somewhat heartbreaking news that they had missed out on an invite to the upcoming BLAST Bounty Winter 2026 Closed Qualifier by a mere 0.3 points. The remarkably small amount left the team owned and captained by Jesper "JW" Wecksell feeling a bit deflated after an impressive rally that has seen the team climb up to 34th in the world on the Valve Regional Standings, but to fall short by a fraction of a point.
With the team missing out on a VRS invite, someone suggested BLAST should extend a Wildcard Invite to the team, something they'd be eligible for by winning recent online events. With BLAST having yet to comment on it, JW turned to an unconventional strategy to get their attention — making a sandwich. Wait what?

In that post, 7licious showed her part-time job as a sandwich maker while tapping into the zeitgeist that is the "Go make me a sandwich" meme that has been used online to "annoy, insult, or dismiss women. It makes reference to the stereotype that women belong only in domestic spaces, such as the kitchen."
While this post was likely just a bit of fun from 7licious, it unexpectedly went super viral last week, garnering an absolutely insane 22 million impressions, 4k comments, and thousands of retweets on X. While most people seemed to be in on the joke there were a ton of replies from people seemingly not getting it was a joke, being rude, trying to engage in serious commentary, or just posting random nonsense to try and get the bag from X's monetization program.
For context, 7licious' post garnered more likes (319k) than Valve's own announcement (294k) for Counter-Strike 2. Overall, her post caught lightning in a bottle while highlighting the challenges part-time players, especially women, face in the space.
With that said, considering 7licious' post basically broke the internet, we are holding out hope for three-time Major winner JW that making his own, slightly less impressive, sandwich will be the road to the promised land and a BLAST Bounty Winter 2026 Closed Qualifier invite.
