Breaking: 100 Thieves bring in messioso and sgares to helm entry into Counter-Strike 2
100 Thieves have today unveiled Graham "messioso" Pitt as the Head of CS Operations and Sean "sgares" Gares as the overall Head of FPS within the organization, hiring two experienced leaders to spearhead their entry into Counter-Strike 2.
The hiring sees messioso return to action following the end of Complexity's Counter-Strike 2 division while sgares previously worked with Shopify Rebellion in VALORANT before leaving the organization in June. sgares of course also has a wealth of experience as a player in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive having been a key of multiple notable NA teams including compLexity, Cloud9, Echo Fox, and Misfits before hanging up the mouse in 2019.
Alongside the announcement, 100 Thieves released an extended interview with the duo where they discussed their entry into 100 Thieves and their plans for the Counter-Strike 2 division.
The duo discussed two visions for building 100 Thieves and that the organization is open to either acquiring a Top 30 core or building a new team from scratch. messioso also noted that a key focus will be to have two veteran players to guide the development of the team:
"I would like two [veteran player]. Young players need guidance and leadership from the older experienced players, while the older ones get some drive to grind."
messioso also shared that the next announcement would be player-focused, perhaps revealing the first piece of 100 Thieves' new roster.
