Report: BLUEJAYS target former Nouns core

BLUEJAYS have set their eyes on a new core after dropping the former BOSS lineup.

Dust2.us has learned from multiple sources that German organization BLUEJAYS are currently in negotiations to sign the former Nouns core consisting of Paytyn "junior" Johnson, Matthew "Cryptic" Whitmore, and Anthony "CLASIA" Kearney as part of the organization's rebuild of their Counter-Strike 2 division after parting ways with the majority of their lineup on May 21st.

The move sees the trio link up with Adam "freshie" Paterson from the former BLUEJAYS roster while a fifth for the squad is still under deliberation, with Dust2.us understanding that Getting Info's Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado is a priority target.

BLUEJAYS' pivot away from the former BOSS core to the Nouns core is part of broader changes in the NA scene after the ex-Nouns roster finally left the DAO-backed organization after months of playing under the tag on an ad hoc basis.

Upon leaving Nouns, Cryptic and co. teamed up with Swedish duo Simon "nomizz" Palm Niléhn and Anton "dottie" Alevärn in a new lineup named Moneyall, however this squad only lasted for three weeks before it split up amidst interest from BLUEJAYS in the Nouns core while the Swedes would go on to reform Daaku.

As previously mentioned, while the Nouns core are expected to join BLUEJAYS in the coming weeks, the identity of the team's fifth is less certain, although MarKE appears to be a leading candidate.

BLUEJAYS is expected to consist of:

  • Canada Adam "freshie" Paterson

  • United States Paytyn "junior" Johnson

  • United States Matthew "Cryptic" Whitmore

  • United States Anthony "CLASIA" Kearney

  • Mexico Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado
