Chicken Coop signs Bad News Capybaras
Chicken Coop Esports has officially signed the entire Bad News Capybaras roster "for the upcoming CS2 season," the organization announced yesterday.
The fledgling organization confirmed that Fragadelphia 19, scheduled for July 17-20 at the Saints Esports Nexus Arena in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, will be the first LAN for the new roster. Long-term, the goal (like for many) is for Chicken Coop to qualify for the next Major.
This now former Bad News Capybaras formed in January this past month, with most of the players coming directly from Take Flyte after they disbanded at the end of 2024. The team started with John "mds" Marin as coach, but moved the 32-year-old into the starting roster after the departure of William "LaffyTs" Robertin this past March.
The Chicken Coop roster consists of:
-
Caleb “jchancE” Davis
-
Kevin “Grave” Le
-
Gabriel “Gabe” Shah
-
Sebastian “cbass” Bentancor
-
John “mds” Marin
Chicken Coop will look at Fragadelphia as a way to improve their VRS standings before the start of ESL Challenger League NA in August. But they can earn a spot directly through ESEA Advanced S53 playoffs, which begins tonight for them against drugs n pugs.
