CS2 May 5/15 Update finally fixes body shot sound delays
Valve released a small but impactful patch for Counter-Strike 2 yesterday, fixing a long-recognized issue with body shot audio.

The update has reduced the delay for body shot impact sounds from the attacker perspective. Those sounds also "will momentarily reduce the volume of weapon fire and ambience to help ensure feedback remains audible." The changes can be heard in the post below from Ozzny, which shows a very clear reduction in the body shot sound delay.
A significantly less noticeable audio change was also made via a "shortened front end of the AK-47 fire sound."
A handful of minor graphical fixes were made as well:
-
Fixed a case where molotov and incendiary fire was visible through the AK-47 viewmodel.
-
Fixed a case where stickers covering the gap on the front grip of the AK-47 weren't lit correctly in left hand mode.
-
Fixed a case where inventory item icons rendered incorrectly while scoped in-game.
Finally, the update also allows deathmatch mode to have unbalance teams, so expect to see a lot more T-sided deathmatch games in the near future.
