The varsity roster will be searching for a new fifth and coach ahead of ESEA Advanced Season 40.

After an unsuccessful ESEA Advanced Season 39 playoff run in which the team finished 9-12th following losses to MIBR and Coldest Riders, John "arcade" Rogel, Chris "Fidel" Gelety and Kieran "KayJay" Playfair have announced their departure from the collegiate squad.

Davenport University captain and IGL, Spencer "Pugg" Moore, further expanded on arcade's departure, explaining via a TwitLonger that there had been some internal issues within the team prior to the change.

arcade had been on the Panthers’ books since April, posting a 0.94 rating throughout his tenure with the team, whilst notably helping them win ESEA Main Season 38 and place second at NACE Starleague 2021.

Meanwhile, the former Davenport coach, Fidel, has since transitioned into an Assistant Director at Michigan Tech Esports whilst the assistant coach, KayJay, has entered free agency after his brief stint with the roster ran its course.

Following the trio's departure, Davenport University are now:

  • United States Joseph "slomotion" Derby
  • United States Brandon "BeBO" Miller
  • United States Bret "Agent" Kepler (Substitute)

Davenport University are set to compete in ESEA Advanced Season 40 which is due to commence in the new year.
