Pugg's men will work with KayJay for the remainder of the season

Davenport recruit the services of KayJay to close out the Advanced season

The coach will be helping Davenport as a short-term assistant coach.

With the playoff portion of the ESEA Advanced season set to begin, Davenport University are set to acquire the services of Kieran "KayJay" Playfair in an attempt to secure their place in ESEA Premier next season. Panthers are looking to make history as the first collegiate team to qualify to Premier after a six season dry spell since UCF Knight's run in ESEA Advanced Season 33.

KayJay expanded on this to Dust2.us that he is coming in as a short-term assistant coach and will likely be leaving the squad at the end of the year. Spencer "Pugg" Moore added that Chris "Fidel" Gelety will remain as the team's head coach.

This will be the Canadian’s first coaching gig following his departure from ONET4P just before the beginning of ESEA Season 39, citing a desire to find opportunities to both advance his career and maintain his passion and hunger for the game.

Following the announcement, Davenport University are now:

  • United States Spencer "Pugg" Moore
  • United States Collin "CoJoMo" Moren
  • United States John "arcade" Rogel
  • United States Joseph "slomotion" Derby
  • United States Brandon "BeBO" Miller
  • United States Chris "Fidel" Gelety (Coach)
  • Canada Kieran "KayJay" Playfair (Assistant Coach)
  • United States Bret "Agent" Kepler (Substitute)

Davenport University find themselves starting their ESEA Advanced playoff campaign with a matchup versus Levitate on December 12th at 9PM EST.
