Take Flyte part ways with BeaKie

After a mixed season BeaKie is looking for a new home.

Brody "BeaKie" Kelly has stepped down from Take Flyte, ending his fifth-month tenure with the ESL Challenger League team. BeaKie joined Take Flyte at the end of January alongside Cory "shutout" Frymark and Mark "CooperTrooper" Cooper, rounding out the team's roster ahead of the start of ESL Challenger League Season 47.

BeaKie's tenure with Take Flyte was a mixed bag for the Canadian rifler. While the team were only one win away from making ECL S47 playoffs, this statistic hides that the team only had a 41.7% win rate over the past three months, 17.3% below Elevate, who are the next highest-ranked team on HLTV's NA Ranking.

With this, BeaKie noted in an X post that his departure from the team is related to frustration over his performance. He also revealed there were disagreements over the team's playstyle. He says he is now to take some time off before looking for a new team heading into next season.

Take Flyte are now:

  • United States John "mds" Marin

  • United States Gabriel "Gabe" Shah

  • United States Collin "CoJoMo" Moren

  • Cory "shutout" Frymark

  • United States Mark "CooperTrooper" Cooper (Coach)

Take Flyte will now look for a new fifth ahead of the start of ESL Challenger League Season 48 on July 15th after the summer player break.

Kinda sucks but it just seems he’s doomed to always be LFT. Leaves teams constantly for “internal disagreements”. Hope he can find something permanent

i wish i could give more insight as to what exactly has been going on inside teams for me. however like i said in my twitter post, airing out team stuff is just not a good look and it's also none of anyone business. ideally i wish to be able to join a roster that works and is all good, but that is just not reality man.

what i will say, is there is usually a pretty solid reason why i end up leaving/mutually parting ways with teams. follow my team history and you might be able to draw a conclusion yourself, thank you for the hope that i will find something permanent. i also wish the same <3
