NRG and Complexity sign up for $97.k Romanian LAN... however they may not be allowed to play

The NA orgs are set to join teams such as NIP and Fnatic in Bucharest.

Complexity and NRG have joined the DraculaN open event in Romania, Bucharest. The event is planned to be ranked in the VRS system, with HLTV determining which matches and stages will count towards the Valve Regional Standings.

COL and NRG may run into a snag, though, as the tournament stated in one of the clauses of the event that the event is only open to teams in the European region, as defined by Valve's rulebook. The tournament organizer, Digital Crusade, announced that they would welcome the NA participants, but are waiting for an answer from Valve regarding its approval.

Should Valve not approve the change, Complexity and NRG would likely need to pull out of the event as they ineligible, an unfortunate fate as the event will likely be a highly lucrative source of VRS points.

The tournament has reached its maximum of 16 teams, bringing the prize pool to €8,400. The top four teams in VRS will be placed directly into the main event, while the other twelve teams will compete in the group stage to qualify for the main event. Teams will be seeded based on the VRS rankings two weeks before the event. The top four teams from the group stage qualifier will join the four teams placed directly in the main event.

The event will take place from August 29th to August 31st at the Nexus Gamers Pub in Bucharest.
