M80 win Thunderpick World Championship NA Series #2
M80 claimed the crown in the Thunderpick World Championship NA Series #2 after a cut-and-dry win over Wildcard in the final.
Wildcard were no match for their opponents, as they amassed just ten round wins over the two map series.
M80 2-0 Wildcard
To begin the series, M80 picked Overpass, the newest map in the pool. They showed that their preparation on the map paid off, starting the first half with a 9-3 advantage. Wildcard showed signs of life in the second half, but it wasn't nearly enough, as M80 converted their lead into a 13-7 victory.
Wildcard's pick was Ancient, and it was a performance they'll want to forget. M80 came out hot, going one better than the first map and taking a 10-2 lead into the second period. This time, they only surrendered one round in the second half to win the map and match via a 13-3 score.
