The loss is an all-time low for this iteration of Liquid

Twistzz vents after Liquid's embarrassing loss to VP.Prodigy: "We are not a team"

Some harsh but candid words came out from Liquid's star.

Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken was the only Liquid player to say something publicly after the team's shocking elimination to VP.Prodigy this Friday, August 1st, in the BLAST Open London qualifier.

"We are not a team," Twistzz wrote on X after the loss to VP.Prodigy, who are 83rd in HLTV's world rankings.

"No words for how we play, 1-2 to VP academy. Sorry to the fans for the terrible performance in the past weeks."

Liquid have been terrible since before the player break, having failed to reach the IEM Dallas playoffs and losing all three matches in the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

Despite this, management trusted the roster and only added the former Natus Vincere analyst Viktor "flashie" Tamás Bea as the head coach.

Since flashie took over the reins, Liquid crashed out of the ESL Pro League S22 EU qualifier at the hands of Sashi and were knocked out of IEM Cologne 2025 with a 2-3 record between Stage One & Two.

After today's loss to VP.Prodigy, Liquid boast an undermining 23.1% win rate in the last three months, according to HLTV.

Liquid need to figure out their game as soon as possible, as they're slated to play ECSTATIC this Tuesday, August 5th, in an elimination series in BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 2 online phase.
