Gonzo steps down from BHOP

Gonzo is currently planning a post-season trip to Japan.

James "Gonzo" Madden has announced his decision to step down from BHOP following the conclusion of ESL Challenger League Season 45. The decision comes as Gonzo tweeted that he plans on taking a break from competing in CS:GO and spending the summer in Japan.

Gonzo's decision to take a break from competition comes off the back of a tough season for the ESEA Advanced Season 44 champions, which saw BHOP finish ECL S45 with a 0-6 record. As a result, the team will have to play ESL Challenger League Season 45 Relegation with a view to holding onto their spot.

Fortunately, it appears BHOP are planning on sticking together as Drew "drewtheshrew" Lamb tweeted that the team would be looking for a new fifth.

BHOP are now:

  • New Zealand Aidan "Feral" Wood

  • United States Andrew "Andrew" Burrell

  • United States Drew "drewtheshrew" Lamb

  • United States Mohamed "Penguin Algadir

  • United States Byron "mst" Masterson (Coach)

  • United States Lucas "icee" Baccay (Analyst)

ESL Challenger League Season 45 Relegation is set to start on June 9th.
