XTQZZZ: "NAVI are hungry to beat us and that's something we have to address tonight"
After dominating GamerLegion on Mirage, it took Vitality a close overtime win on Overpass to secure their 2-0 win and secure their spot in the finals of BLAST Rivals Spring 2026. As Vitality's head coach Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam told Dust2.us, he sees low energy and a lack of practice contributing to the team's somewhat bumpy road to the finals, while also admitting that victory isn't guaranteed tomorrow if the team don't bring their A-game against a hungry NAVI.

Are you taking anything away from that close game on Overpass or discounting it as another day at the office?
I'm a bit disappointed about Overpass actually, because we took control on the T-side and we could've won more rounds actually but GamerLegion but the 2v3 clutch off apEX was tough.
On the CT-side I don't know, I think we didn't make any decisions and it was really annoying. GamerLegion could do whatever they wanted especially on B. We knew they liked to play B and we tried to adapt but it was not perfect at all so yeah.
This tournament so far we are not great but it's a still a 2-0 win so its good. We didn't use that much energy in the semifinal.
We've heard from multiple players including apEX that the team hadn't been practicing ahead of this event. If you do go on to win the title do you think it could potentially teach a bad lesson that you don't need to practice as much to win events?
Of course we lack practice but the main issue for me for the group stage was our energy. We just won the Grand Slam so my guys are really tired so maybe we maybe with practice we could be better but its just a mindset now we need to change a bit and don't expect to play perfect because sometimes we are a bit frustrated for nothing.
We knew it and we decided to come here without practicing, with less energy so let's deal with it and hopefully it is enough for tomorrow.
With it having been a difficult road overall this event, how are you feeling heading into the finals tomorrow against NAVI? Will it be a close game or will you bring more energy into the game tomorrow?
I think its going to be different from the BLAST Open Spring finals against NAVI or the Rio finals against Spirit. NAVI are hungry to beat us and that's something we have to address tonight. If we don't bring the energy tomorrow it's going to be a tough game in my opinion.
I don't expect to smash them but we don't have that much time to prep because it's at 12:30 tomorrow. That's something I don't understand from BLAST but that's the way it is.
