Snax will need to be in career-best form to take down Vitality tomorrow

Snax: "We are playing at the highest level so even small mistakes can make the difference"

Small mistakes from Astralis allowed Snax and GamerLegion to pull ahead in their match up.

Last night Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski and GamerLegion pulled off an insane comeback to take down Astralis and secure their spot in the semifinals. Following that great win, Dust2.us' Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" Moore spoke to Snax about the win, the thin margins games are decided on, their mental state heading into the semi's versus Vitality, and Snax's love of the NA crowd.

Amazing comeback after being 12-4 down on Inferno. What goes into pulling off that comeback with there being so little room for error?

I think that we were believing until the end, you know? On the T-side I told the guys that I'm feeling pretty good on this map right now and as I well I said we lost only the gambles G2 did.

That's what gave G2 the edge in the first half and it was hard and to start CT we lost the force buy round, so I think we lost three force buys and that's why the score was like this. On the full gun rounds when we had those we were just better at some points.

We were just believing till the end.

We saw Astralis pull defeat from the jaws of victory because they gave up so many opportunities to win the map. In a win like this, do you think it comes down more to exceptional play from GamerLegion or exceptional mistakes from Astralis?

I would say that we are playing at the highest level in the game so even small mistakes can make [the difference]. You could see that we did those mistakes and they worked with them pretty well in the first half and even at the start of the second half and then we did not make any mistakes on the CT-side later on.

I feel that it is a matter of mistakes.

In the first round of overtime after such a perfect CT-side you drop that first CT round. Is there something psychological that caused that, like you let off the gas when you finally got some breathing room?

It's pretty normal to be honest, it happens to a lot of teams. When you're watching it's like 'why didn't you do it like in the normal rounds?'

But probably the gas in you is going off a little bit and we were happy after taking overtime so the first round was not the best from us, but maybe its psychology a little bit there.

The emotions goes off a little bit because you start to build up those emotions when you're winning round after round and when you sent it to overtime it's a relief that that might happen.

There were a lot of heroics from GamerLegion in both maps. Are you proud of the way your young players performed keeping the experience gap in mind?

Only hypex hasn't played that much on stage, its his first one. PR and Tauson also have played on stage, so maybe I'm not sure... I don't want to say I'm probably like a dad and they felt on stage I'm pretty much the same and trying my best so maybe it helped them at points.

I was trying to lighten the mood even when we had a bad score. I felt like today they did pretty good and we're not giving up and that's the best [mindset] you can five to the younger guys that we just don't lose to ourselves.

Tomorrow we'll see GamerLegion take on Vitality. When we interviewed hypex he gave a bombastic answer that GL will be taking down Vitality. Is that the mindset you have to have when heading into this match up?

I would repeat myself as usual in interviews and [say] I come to tournaments to win. Vitality are the best team in the world and its going to be tough but we're not counting ourselves out.

It might happen that we lose 13-3, 13-2 both maps. You never know.

Is there a key to success tomorrow?

I felt like I can understand how they're preparing for the matches and even in G2 I know we were playing them before they got ropz, who has had an insane time on the team, but I always felt pretty comfortable [against Vitality].

Even the first tournament for us we played pretty good against them. I know it was the beginning of the year, that's why I don't know I felt like I understand the way they want to play and how they prepare for the matches.

The NA fans love you and you've had so many iconic moments here in New York, Atlanta, ELEAGUE, etc. Do you think the crowd will be on your said tomorrow?

That's hard. I hope they're going to cheer for us and I love being. Usually people are very nice usually for me on those stages. So I'm looking forward to them cheering for us.

Snax and GamerLegion are now live against Vitality as they fight for a spot in the grand finals.
