SportsBetExpert unveil new roster: "We got the recipe to make a run for this major"

Just over one month after team owner Peter "PETE187" Anadio cut the old roster, SportsBetExpert is back with an almost all-new lineup featuring more experienced NA players. The team will be led by ex-Marsborne player Ian "motm" Hardy. It will also feature his old teammate, Adam "WolfY" Andersson, and former Wildcard player Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell.

Rounding out the team are Derek "dare" Brown and Samuel "sml" Oliveira, who is the only remaining player from the old squad.

Compared to the previous lineup, which featured more fresh-faced players in the NA scene, the new signings come in with substantially more experience under their belts. WolfY, motm, and dare have all been competing for at least six years, a stark contrast from ogwizard and Fruitcupx.

Dust2.us reached out for comments to PETE187 on the composition of the new roster. He said, "I wanted players who have competed on levels against high-tier-one teams...I want players who have in-game sense and experience."

On why sml was retained from the old roster, he said, "sml was one of the few bright spots, sml doesn't get the credit he deserves... surrounding him with good players will help him be the best."

One important note is that SBE opted to create a new lineup from scratch rather than signing a pre-existing core. As such, the team has no VRS points and will need to grind from open LANs and qualifiers to play in events. They also took this approach when creating their first team.

PETE187 commented, "I'm not afraid of starting from scratch. I want to build the roster myself and put together a team with players with a great attitude... experienced, positive, with a little moxie."

He also stated the main ambition for the team, "We got the recipe to make a run for this major."

SportsBetExpert's new team is:

The team plans to make their LAN debut at FRAG TAP Reloaded at the end of May.
