Seb steps down from Aether

Seb's exit follows Aether's elimination from the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #7.

Sebastian "Seb" Dietrich has announced his departure from Aether today, exiting the team three months after joining the then-Outfit 49 squad alongside Chance "xaler" Palmer. The departure of Seb is the second change for Aether in recent weeks, with the team previously swapping Jason "s3rum" Zheng for Nazar "H0NeST" Stefinko back on April 6th.

Seb told Dust2.us that he made the decision to step down from Aether due to a mixture of commitments outside of the game giving him less time to practice and compete as well as issues within the team environment.

His departure from Aether follows the team's exit from the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #7 playoffs last night following a 2-1 loss to insane players. The team had been airlifted into playoffs despite a 2-3 record after BOSS withdrew from playoffs.

Seb posted a modest 0.99 rating over 50 maps with Aether while helping the team find a handful of notable results including a top-three finish the second ESL Challenger League Season 51 cup and a top-four finish in CCT Season 3 North American Series #4.

Aether are now:

  • United States Brett "brett" Rhein

  • United States Andrew "Andrew" Burrell

  • United States Chance "xaler" Palmer

  • Nazar "H0NeST" Stefinko

  • United States Erich "ninja" Beyer (Coach)

Aether have a match in ESEA Advanced Season 57 against SparkExchange, with the team likely to field their sub Volodymyr "bezymecc" Slobodian as a stand-in while searching for a permanent replacement for Seb.
