Breaking: Wildcard officially announce Cxzi addition
After speculation following his addition to the organization's FACEIT squad, Wildcard has officially unveiled Danny "Cxzi" Strzelczyk as their newest player. Several days ago, Cxzi's former organization Marsborne announced that they would be remaking the lineup, with everyone but Adam "Grizz" Golden being replaced.
Though they were ultimately unable to reach the major, Cxzi's tenure on Marsborne yielded several successful results, including a finals appearance at Circuit X Pantanal Cuiabá 2026 and two CCT NA titles.
The roster move comes just one day after Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell was moved to the bench, bringing an end to his second period with the organization. With Wildcard struggling to find consistent form despite the recent addition of Serbian IGL Nemanja "nEMANHA" Đukić, the organization has opted to bring in a more experienced player to help the team find success.
Though Cxzi transitioned to IGL during his time on Marsborne, he will likely not continue that on Wildcard to leave room for nEMANHA. Even in the IGL role, Cxzi put up great stats on Marsborne. He was the second-highest rated player on the lineup, only behind Grizz, during their time together. He had a 1.10 rating and 83 ADR with several solid performances on LAN. Cxzi also brings more experience to the lineup than Peeping, as he played at several tier one events during his time on Complexity in early 2025.
Wildcard's next event will be FRAG Vegas beginning on April 24th. Also at the event will be other notable NA teams like M80, Passion UA, Voca, and NRG.
