Official: JamezIRL exits Wildcard

After being conspicuously absent from Wildcard's last three LAN events, James "JamezIRL" Macaulay has confirmed to Dust2.us that he has exited the roster he is no longer part of the team and has not been working with the lineup for some time. In his place Wildcard have been fielding assistant coach Łukasz "splawik" Jahns in the head coach role with it currently being unknown if he will continue in that capacity.

In a comment to Dust2.us, JamezIRL was relatively evasive in his reasons for exiting the project so early into its tenure, stating that "things just didn’t line up" and that he hopes to join a new project soon. Wildcard was JamezIRL's first coaching after last working for Complexity as an assistant coach from July 2023 to December 2024, taking a year off before being revealed as the first piece of Wildcard's rebuild in late November.

With JamezIRL's tenure with the team being cut unexpectedly short, he only attended one LAN with the team, FRAG Miami 2 2026, at the very start of the year while also assisting the team during a number of online events.

Dust2.us reached out to Wildcard for comment as well, with Wildcard co-owner John "Griff" Griffin saying quite simply that the team felt there were "philosophical differences and felt a change would be good for the team."

The next event on Wildcard's calendar is set to be FRAG 20 when the NA LAN kicks off on April 24th.
