ESL Challenger League S51 Cup 3 Day 5 recap: LAG and InControl reach lower bracket final
ESL Challenger League S51 Cup 3 had two matches played last night on the fifth day of the tournament. InControl took on FarmVille while LAG faced Zomblers in the lower bracket semifinals. Ultimately, LAG and InControl both took 2-0s to reach the lower bracket final.
InControl 2-0 FarmVille
InControl chose to start the series on Mirage, and turned a pistol win into an early 3-1 lead. FarmVille got a few rounds back, but InControl still managed a slight 7-5 lead. After taking the second pistol, the two teams traded streaks to send the map to overtime. Despite losing the first two rounds, InControl found their footing to take their map 16-14.
FarmVille picked Inferno, but InControl dominated most of the first half. After taking the pistol, they took a 9-1 lead before FarmVille got two more to end the half. Though FarmVille won the pistol, InControl quickly recovered to close the map 13-5.
True to his name, Brett "Scorchyy" Coolen was on fire this series; he ended the match with 2.45 K/D, 15 multikill rounds, and three clutches.

LAG 2-0 Zomblers
Zomblers chose Ancient for map one and started with a pistol win. After that, LAG went on an 8-3 run to take a strong lead. With the second pistol in their pocket, LAG went on to secure their opponent's pick 13-6.
LAG picked into Mirage, but started down 1-4. They then went on a seven-round streak to close the half with a 7-5 lead. After winning the second pistol, LAG cruised to a 13-6 victory.
