Knox Esports announce Tennessee LAN scheduled for early May

Tennessee-based organization Knox Esports has announced their next Counter-Strike tournament, aptly named the Knox Esports CS2 LAN. The event will run from May 1st to May 3rd at their facility in Knoxville and will feature up to 16 teams.

Last September, their facility was home to Fragville 2025, where NRG emerged victorious.

Though the event could run for three days, its actual length will depend on how many teams sign up. If more than nine teams sign up, the event will be three days: Friday for a GSL group stage, then Saturday and Sunday for an eight-team double-elimination bracket. If fewer teams sign up, the group stage may be shortened or eliminated to reduce the tournament length.

The prize pool will also depend on how many teams sign up. If the tournament gets enough teams for three days, the prize pool will be a minimum of $1,000 and up to $2,400 at full capacity. Those numbers are halved if the tournament runs shorter.

Teams looking to sign up will pay a $200 fee, though the first four to use the code "Agartha" will get $40 off. Those interested can register here until the April 27th deadline.
