NRG defeated by JW and EYEBALLERS at PGL Bucharest 2026
EYEBALLERS, led by Swedish legend Jesper "JW" Wecksell, took down NRG in a 2-0 sweep.
NRG are now facing elimination, as they have a 1-2 record at PGL Bucharest 2026.
The series got started on EYBALLERS' Nuke selection, where both sides began with streaks of rounds, with NRG holding a 4-3 lead early. EYEBALLERS would have been more than happy with their T side, taking the final five rounds to hold a solid 8-4 lead at the half. EYEBALLERS secured an 11-6 lead early, but NRG answered with six of the last seven rounds to force overtime. The North Americans couldn't quite get the job done, though, losing 16-14 to EYEBALLERS on Nuke.
NRG had to return the favor on their map pick of Mirage. EYEBALLERS immediately took the initiative, surrendering just two rounds in the first half and taking a 10-2 lead into the second half. NRG managed to secure a few rounds on the CT side, but it wasn't near enough as the Swedes put NRG away, 13-6.
JW and Sebatian "dex" Samuelsson logged 47 and 45 frags, respectively, on EYEBALLERS' way to the 2-0 win.
NRG are now 1-2 and need to win their final two matches in order to make the playoffs at PGL Bucharest 2026.
