HexT leads Wildcard to a reverse sweep v. FOKUS at PGL Bucharest 2026
Wildcard are just one match away from the playoffs at PGL Bucharest 2026 after a 2-1 win over FOKUS.
Jadan "HexT" Postma was in fine form for Wildcard, as he led his side to the reverse sweep over the Europeans.
FOKUS started hot on Wildcard's map choice of Nuke, as they began with a 6-1 advantage. They converted that lead to a commanding 10-2 edge at the half, after which they would easily close the map, 13-2.
Wildcard enjoyed a much better start to their opponents' pick of Inferno, as they won four out of five rounds to begin the game. FOKUS answered back with three on the bounce to level things up, but Wildcard ended the half on a four-round streak to lead 8-4 at the interval. FOKUS started with five in a row to take the lead almost immediately at 9-8. Wildcard clawed their way back into the game, grinding out rounds to force overtime. Wildcard gave up a single round in both overtime halves to secure the map CS:GO-style with a 16-14 win.
The decider was on Mirage, and both teams were jockeying for control early in the half. FOKUS had an early 4-1 edge, but Wildcard had a couple of two-round bursts to help themselves to a 6-6 half. FOKUS claimed the second-half pistol, but Wildcard answered back with seven rounds in a row to beat their European opposition.
HexT was the only player with a positive K/D on Wildcard, posting 56 frags to 44 deaths and a match-high 1.41 rating.
