32 teams for IEM Cologne 2026 Major determined as FaZe fall in Belgrade

With FaZe falling to BIG in the grand finals of the HLC Belgrade PRO 2026 grand finals, we know the complete list of the 32 teams that Valve will extend invites for the IEM Cologne 2026 Major! As with the StarLadder Budapest Major last year, the race for spots in the Major came down to the wire in a number of regions.

In Europe, the aforementioned loss by FaZe paving the way for SINNERS to qualify, Liquid squeaked by Passion UA following the latter team's loss to Sangal in Riga, and a fair bit of drama in the Chinese scene seeing Lynn Vision claim the final Asias spot over SemperFi.

Overall, North America did quite poorly in securing spots in the first Major of 2026, with NA only claiming three of the ten spots allocated for the Americas region while seven spots went to South American squads.

The IEM Cologne 2026 Major is set to kick off on June 2nd.
