M80 close in on Major spot, Liquid at risk

According to recent VRS calculations from MischiefCS2, M80's win over Aurora has skyrocketed them to a 98.1% chance of qualifying for IEM Cologne.

Meanwhile, Liquid, who returned to the region with intentions of claiming an Americas invite, now have a 69% of qualifying, down from an estimated 99% when they first picked up Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa.

With their upset over the #3 team in the global VRS rankings, M80 gained 46 VRS points in one fell swoop. Their previous win over NA rivals Liquid also netted them 28 points, while costing Liquid 15 on their way out of DraculaN.

When Liquid returned to a North American core, it seemed like a given that they would receive an Americas invite to IEM Cologne. While their chances are still high, shaky performances have put their qualification in doubt.
