Liquid knocked out of DraculaN Season 6 by #65 Sashi
Liquid have been knocked out of DraculaN Season 6 following a 2-0 loss to Sashi in the lower bracket. While the loss is unlikely to affect Liquid's Major prospects, it is yet another disappointing result for Liquid and more proof that these tier-two LANs are not cakewalks for the scene's big teams.
Starting on Nuke, Liquid got off to a strong 6-0 start on their CT-side before Sashi chipped away Liquid's lead considerably to close the gap to two rounds heading into the second half. After switching sides, Sashi were able to take the lead off the back of a CT-side pistol round and the next three rounds. From there, the two squads traded next five rounds until Sashi broke the stalemate to win two rounds in a row to take Nuke 13-10.
Moving onto Anubis, Liquid won the opening pistol round on their T-side, but were unable to convert the following round, giving Sashi an in-road to take a 3-1 lead. This early lead was even up by Liquid taking the next two rounds before securing four of the last six rounds to claim a modest 7-5 lead heading into the second half of Anubis. Liquid won their third pistol round of the series before an absolutely disaster unfolded for the NA team as Sashi were utterly dominant on their T-side. Sashi consistently plowed through Liquid's defenses, winning eight of the next ten rounds from here on out to secure a confident 13-10 win to send Liquid packing.
Frederik "Fessor" Sørensen was Sashi's difference maker on the T-side as he posted 13 kills and 133.9 ADR as Sashi proved they were the better team on Liquid's map pick.
Overall, the series was a great showing from new addition Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa while Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek struggled immensely with 17 kills and a 0.59 rating over the series.
Liquid will be back in action at IEM Rio 2026 on April 13th.
