Passion UA upset Eternal Fire at DraculaN
In their opening match at DraculaN Season 6, Cologne hopefuls Passion UA took down #52-ranked Eternal Fire in a three-map series. After tumbling out of BC Game Masters, this was a much-needed win (and much-needed 36 VRS points) for the NA team.
Mirage was a battle of the T sides, with Eternal Fire taking 10 rounds on their initial attack, and Passion UA's offense responding with seven of their own. Eternal Fire eventually stabilized for a 13-9 win on their map pick.
Passion UA's pick of Inferno went back-and-forth, seeing both teams put together multi-round streaks to end the half 7-5 in favor of Eternal Fire. However, Passion UA's T side again proved formidable, as they evened the series with a 13-8 victory.
The first half of Anubis had Passion UA winning two rounds at a time, while Eternal Fire were limited to one-offs. Yet again, Passion UA's T side provided them a dominant lead in the second half and 13-9 victory. Azbayar "Senzu" Munkhbold finished the series with a team-high 53 frags and 1.37 rating, and each of Passion UA's players ended up with ratings of 1.28 or higher on the T side.
