Liquid start DraculaN with win over Inner Circle
In their opening match of DraculaN Season 6, Liquid took down Inner Circle 2-0. As their fourth match with a North American core, this bodes well for their chances of qualifying to IEM Cologne.
Mirage started with Inner Circle taking the pistol round and boasting a strong first quarter, but Liquid's defense would go on a six-round streak to end the half. Inner Circle took the second pistol round of the map, and while Liquid secured four straight rounds for matchpoint, their opponents also won four straight to secure overtime. Liquid would eventually close the map oustide of regulation, 16-13, despite winding up with less total frags and more total deaths.
Ancient was far less contested, with Liquid stealing eight consecutive rounds from Inner Circle's map pick before finishing the match in a blowout 13-2 victory. All of Liquid's players went positive, and Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa finished the 15-round affair with a 2.11 rating.
