M80 replace Liquid at Gamers Assembly in final bid for Major
One more event before the Major cutoff date.
M80 have replaced Liquid at Gamers Assembly, with the French LAN set to start April 4th. Their late entry into the event follows a poor performance at Spring Journey, which has somewhat put their chances of qualifying to IEM Cologne in jeopardy.
While Liquid are almost certain to receive a North America invite given their return to the region, M80 find themselves defending the last qualification spot from rising teams from both North and South America. In addition to attending DraculaN before the IEM Cologne cutoff date of April 6th, M80 will now have the chance to earn crucial VRS points via matches at Gamers Assembly.
PGL Bucharest is also slated to start April 4th, leaving M80's status for the Tier 1 event unclear.
