"Damn, you're leaving us for Wildcard?" illwill's hAdji shares funny reaction to nEMANHA's departure to Wildcard

HLTV's Žan "sumljiv" Zupanič released a feature today discussing illwill, an orgless European squad that has received much praise in recent weeks for climbing up to 24th place in the VRS after a series of great showings online and especially on LAN. The team continued to find results despite changing a number of players, however the squad are contending with a serious vacancy at the moment after IGL Nemanja "nEMANHA" Đukić left the team to join Wildcard on March 6th.

In the feature, illwill's Ali "hAdji" Haïnouss shared his initial reaction to rumors of nEMANHA's impending departure, saying he initially expected the Serbian IGL to be slated join a tier-one team:

"At the beginning we thought that he had a really good offer, from a tier-one team or like a team that is above us in the rankings. So, at least me personally, I accepted that."

hAdji said he understood why nEMANHA would take a contract with a top team, however he was bewildered when he saw rumors that nEMANHA's new home would be Wildcard, stating:

"Damn, you're leaving us for Wildcard?'"

While obviously a bit tongue-in-cheek. hAdji likely had that reaction as the move would see nEMANHA move from a top 30 team to a squad outside the top 100. Additionally as Wildcard had quite the controversial 2025, it has much work to do to rebuild its reputation, especially as NA orgs are rarely the top destination for European talent.

illwill are now on the lookout for a new IGL, with the team fielding Vladislav "FinigaN" Usov and Gareth "MisteM" Ries in recent officials.
