M80 won't be at FRAG

M80, Marsborne, SemperFi, and Sharks drop out of FRAG York

Teams are prioritizing VRS points in hopes of making Cologne.

Dust2.us has confirmed that M80, Marsborne, Semper Fi, and Sharks have all dropped out of FRAG York, following a number of teams in backing out from the Syracuse, New York LAN, which is set to begin March 27th. The teams all withdrew from the event ahead of the deadline for squads to exit the event, after which they would have been handed forfeit losses and potentially lost VRS points as a result.

M80 recently withdrew from Urban Riga Open #3 in favor of attending the Journey Spring LAN scheduled from March 23rd to March 28th, and they have presumably withdrawn from FRAG York for the same reason. They also declined an invite to the second ESL Challenger League Season 51 Cup slated to start March 20th, while SemperFi have seemingly accepted their invite to the Oceania Cup scheduled on the same date.

Marsborne, who have been farming Brazilian tournaments for their recent influx of VRS points, ended up receiving an invite to FERJEE in House LAN after Vasco withdrew and Fluxo W7M declined. With the event scheduled for March 26th-March 30th, Marsborne have decided to sacrifice their appearance at FRAG York that weekend.

It is unknown why Sharks dropped out of FRAG York, however with the team effectively locked in for a spot in the IEM Cologne Major, they may have opted to stay close to home to avoid losing points.

Notable teams still set to attend FRAG York currently include:

United States BOSS
Fisher College

United States LAG
United States Voca
