Voca beat Wildcard to qualify for PGL Bucharest 2026

Voca have secured a spot at PGL Bucharest 2026 after taking down Wildcard last night. After a dominant run to the final, Wildcard made Voca work for it as the series went all five maps. However, Voca emerged victorious 3-2 to reach the organization's first international LAN.

Voca's path to the final was relatively unobstructed. They beat Fisher College, LAG, and Wildcard in consecutive 2-0s. The matches weren't particularly close either; Voca gave up an average of less than six rounds per map. The final was a different story.

Voca 3-2 Wildcard

The final started on Voca's Dust2 pick, but Wildcard made it look like home with a dominant 10-2 T-side. Though Voca began to make a comeback, Wildcard cut it short to take their opponent's pick 13-8, the first map loss for Voca in the qualifier.

Wildcard started their Overpass pick well, going up 4-0 early. However, it was nothing but pain afterwards, as Voca won 13 straight rounds to tie the best-of-five at one all.

Voca carried that momentum into their Mirage pick with a great 7-2 start before Wildcard got three more rounds to close the gap. A slow start to their CT-side tied the score 8-8, but Voca recovered and closed the map 13-8.

Wildcard's Anubis pick was a back-and-forth affair with teams trading round streaks in the first half to put Wildcard down 7-5. However, their T-side excelled as Wildcard rolled through Voca, taking their pick 13-8 and forcing a fifth-map decider.

The final map was Nuke, and Voca wasted no time on their T-side, winning the first seven rounds in a row. Wildcard closed the gap to 8-4, but still faced a daunting climb. The pistol win propelled Voca to a 13-5 victory on the map and a 3-2 match win, qualifying them for Bucharest.

The clear best player on the server was Paytyn "junior" Johnson, ending his first event with Voca in phenomenal fashion. He finished the final with a monstrous 90 kills, 22 multikill rounds, and four clutches.
