ESL Challenger S51 Cup 1 down to final four

M80, Voca, Rave, and Marsborne are the only teams left from the 16 that entered the first cup of ESL Challenger League S51. Four matches are left in the tournament for the $8,000 first-place prize.

M80 and Voca are the last two of the upper bracket, having both won their first three series. M80 had dominant wins over MONEY CREW and LAG before a much closer win against Rave. Voca had a competitive win over Zomblers, stomped Mythic, then knocked down Marsborne.

Rave and Marsborne both lost a match, but are still alive in the lower bracket. Rave started with a smooth win over Outfit 49 and got a forfeit from BOSS. They lost a tight series to M80, but reached the top four with a forfeit from Outfit 49. Marsborne bested InControl in their opening match before smashing FlyQuest RED. Voca got the better of them, but they rebounded with a win over Zomblers in the lower bracket.

M80 2-1 Rave

Rave started the match with a close 13-11 win on their pick of Dust2 to put M80 on the back foot. M80 responded by taking their own Mirage pick with the same 13-11 score, tying the series. Inferno started close, but M80 were too strong in the end and took the map 13-9.

Voca 2-1 Marsborne

Marsborne started the series well by taking their opponent's Mirage pick 13-10. Voca returned the favor by stealing Marsborne's pick of Nuke with a 13-9 win. Overpass was a non-starter as Voca steamrolled Marsborne for a 13-1 victory.
