They can't be terribly disappointed with the result, though, as they took an impressive scalp against NIP in the decider match in Group D.
100 Thieves picked Dust2, but it would be a map that they'll want to forget soon. BetBoom took an 11-1 lead, all but putting 100T away in the first map. BetBoom quickly put 100 Thieves away with a 13-2 win on D2.
BetBoom's pick was Nuke, where 100 Thieves took advantage of the preferred CT side to jump out to an 8-4 lead. 100T put their opponents on the ropes with a 12-4 lead at the beginning of the second half. BetBoom rallied to win eight rounds straight and force overtime. The Russians' momentum ended there, though, as 100T were perfect in overtime to win 16-12.
The deciding map was Ancient, where both sides traded streaks of rounds to start the map. BetBoom won the first five rounds before 100T answered with four of their own. BetBoom held a slight advantage at 7-5 going into the second half. The Russian side had a flawless T side to win the map and match thanks to their 13-5 victory in the jungle.
Daniil 'd1Ledez' Kustov was running rampant in the server, putting up a match-high 65 frags with a 1.74 rating.
BetBoom will have a showdown with Gentle Mates in the semifinals of Roman Imperium Cup V.
